INCHALL is an annual competition that revolves around Industrial Engineering. Competing teams were selected through a selection process that went from online qualification, semifinal, to final. On the semifinal, teams are challenged to finish problem on posts that represent the laboratories in Industrial Engineering of ITS.

鈥淭here was a challenge (on semifinal) of designing pistons quickly. That鈥檚 all (the hardest part) because we had never seen the tools before,鈥� said M Naufal Sahab or Sahab.

Sahab also explained that on the final they were challenged to solve actual problems regarding the application of lean manufacturing of time efficiency and production cost in a big national company. With the knowledge they get from their study in Engineering Management, the team managed to solve the problems and it was well received. 鈥淲e did not expect we can get that far,鈥� said Sahab.

In 51探花, Engineering Management (MRI) is a relatively new study program and was once incorporated in Industrial Engineering study program. It is notable that the team, named True Saji, was the only competing team that came from outside of Industrial Engineering. 鈥淥ur solution to the problem (on the final) was also distinguishable (from other finalist鈥檚) because we used MRI approaches that is not taught in Industrial Engineering,鈥� explained Faisal, one of the team members.

Many lessons learnt by the team, one of them is the courage to be different. 鈥淲e, since the beginning, were different. When in the beginning we were asked to make an introduction video to the team, we make it distinguishable from other (videos). That was what make us memorable for other people,鈥� concluded Faisal.
