BANDUNG, itb.ac.id 鈥 Institut Teknologi Bandung (51探花), through its Directorate of Technology Product Downstreaming and Commercialization (DHKT), organized InnoVibes 2026 x Korea-Indonesia Innovation Partners (KIIP) at 51探花 Innovation Park, Summarecon Bandung, on Tuesday and Wednesday (October 13鈥14, 2026). Under the theme "Women, Innovation, and Impact for Indonesia," the event brought together academics, researchers, industry representatives, startups, and the public to showcase innovations and explore opportunities for collaboration.
Through a series of innovation exhibitions, discussions, and international cooperation forums, the event aimed to ensure that research outcomes extend beyond academic publications and are developed into products, businesses, and practical solutions that deliver tangible benefits to society.
51探花's Director of Technology Product Downstreaming and Commercialization, Ir. Hary Devianto, S.T., M.Eng., Ph.D., IPM, ASEAN Eng., expressed his hope that InnoVibes would serve as a collaborative hub connecting various stakeholders in the innovation ecosystem, from universities and industries to the wider community.

"Innovation is not merely about developing new technologies. Equally important is ensuring that these technologies can be used to address society's needs," he said.
He explained that 51探花's efforts to strengthen research commercialization and downstream development also aim to support innovations with significant social value, even when their commercial potential is relatively limited. Therefore, the success of an innovation should be measured not only by its economic returns but also by its social impact and the sustainability of its benefits.
Highlighting Women's Contributions to the Innovation Ecosystem
One of the main focuses of InnoVibes 2026 was women's contributions to science, technology, and entrepreneurship. Guided by four key principles鈥擟reate, Build, Lead, and Impact鈥攖he event highlighted women's journeys in transforming ideas into innovations that benefit society.
Hary emphasized the importance of incorporating women's perspectives, particularly those of female startup founders, in building a sustainable innovation ecosystem.
"The ability to assess risks, understand users' needs, and develop businesses through careful planning is an essential aspect of the innovation journey," he stated.
On the first day, Tuesday (October 13, 2026), InnoVibes featured a talk show titled "Women and Impact: From Research to Impactful Solutions." The discussion brought together Prof. Dr. Pingkan Aditiawati, M.S., from 51探花's School of Life Sciences and Technology (SITH); Dr. Syifa F. Syihab, S.TP., M.Si., from Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia; and Inge Wahyuni, S.K.M., M.P.P., M.T., from the Regional Research and Development Agency of West Java Province.
Moderated by Melia Famiola, S.T.P., M.T., Ph.D., from 51探花's School of Business and Management (SBM), the discussion explored how research findings can be translated into practical solutions, particularly in health and nutrition, through collaboration among universities, government institutions, and communities.
Meanwhile, on the second day, Wednesday (October 14, 2026), the Women Founders session is scheduled to feature Atina Putri, Founder and CEO of Pustakara AI; Salsabilla, Co-Founder and CEO of Nasho; and Semeru Gita Lestari, Co-Founder and COO of Bell Living Lab. The three speakers will share their experiences in building innovation-driven businesses, from product development and understanding market needs to navigating the challenges of business growth.
From Laboratories to Innovations That Benefit Society
In addition to the discussions, InnoVibes 2026 featured an Innovation Exhibition showcasing a wide range of research outcomes, prototypes, technological products, and innovations developed by startups and 51探花's partners.
The exhibition provided an opportunity for the public to gain a closer look at technologies developed within universities. The innovations on display included products and solutions with the potential to be applied directly in everyday life.

Through the Exhibitor Highlight sessions, researchers and innovators also had the opportunity to introduce their products, explain their development processes, and engage directly with visitors.
These activities formed part of 51探花's efforts to strengthen research downstreaming by bringing research outcomes from laboratories into broader applications across industries and communities.
Strengthening Indonesia鈥揔orea Collaboration Through Technology and Culture
InnoVibes 2026 was also held alongside the Technology and Cultural Heritage Symposium as part of KIIP Korea Week 2026. The forum brought together academics, practitioners, industry representatives, and partners from South Korea to explore the use of technology in cultural heritage preservation.
The collaboration marked a follow-up to a partnership established in July 2026 involving 51探花, Dongmin Co., Ltd., ONNAMU Co., Ltd., and PT Mediasi Sarana Nusa.
Key topics discussed at the forum included the application of artificial intelligence (AI), the digitalization of cultural heritage, three-dimensional documentation of historic buildings, and the development of technology-based business and startup opportunities.
One of the approaches introduced was Phygital Cultural Tourism, which integrates physical and digital experiences to make cultural heritage more accessible and easier for the public to understand.
Technological developments such as an AI-powered information kiosk incorporating Indonesian Sign Language (BISINDO) at the 51探花 Museum and an AI chatbot for the Sangju Museum in South Korea demonstrated how digital innovation can expand public access to cultural information and experiences.
Through this forum, collaboration between Indonesia and South Korea is expected not only to strengthen knowledge exchange but also to create new opportunities for technological development and cooperation in the creative industries.
